That sad day has come – Friday, October 22 – the time to go home. After 12 wonderful days of this amazing trip, it was time to say goodbye to everyone and leave Guinea.

In the morning, everyone met for the last breakfast – some delicious porridge, croissants, and coffee. It was a very emotional moment for many. The volunteers couldn’t help but think about the changes they made in this small village in less than 2 weeks. They felt grateful for the entire trip and how nicely Guinea greeted them here. The felt like home, truly! 

After breakfast, the entire hotel staff asked volunteers for a photo together. Then everyone said goodbye to each other and volunteers headed to Conakry airport with a short stop for lunch on the way. 

Drame and Mac were kind enough to accompany everyone at the airport making sure the check-in process was smooth. Things went well and it was time to take off. Thank you Guinea for having us here, thank you Dubreka for your kindness. We look forward to coming back and making more good memories!
